My method for adjusting sights. Yes, some sights are not adjustable, but the principle is the same, whether you need to replace the rear sight with a taller one or if you need to replace the front sight, or file it down. :-) Somehow, you want to get the bullets hitting where the sights are aligned, or get the sights aligned with where the bullets are going. :-)

Review of the TruGlo TFO night sight. Please note, these are MUCH brighter in darkness than they appear on the video; my camera is not going to replicate human vision in low light. This seems to be a popular selection for a handgun night sight, but there are clearly pros and cons to the choice. The Meprolight TruDot is offered as a comparison (also brighter in person), and the Surefire XD200 weapons light makes a brief appearance as well.

Open sight target shooting with the Ruger 10/22 at 200 yards, .22 Long Rifle. Ammo is CCI Stinger 32 grain hollow points. The target is a standard-sized IPSC outline, steel, approximately 18" x 30". I took 25 slow-paced shots. This bullet should drop approximately 40 inches at 200 yards and reach the target in about half a second. There is an elevation drop from the shooting position to the target, which enabled holding 12-18" over the top. Wind was steady at 5-10 mph, gusting to 15; left to right. Video includes a second camera for the target cam. Toward the end of the shooting session, the underlying PIP audio/video track gets out of sync with the HD camera at the shooting position. Even though both cameras are supposedly recording at the same speed, the standard definition "target cam" seems to be a tad bit slower, and that becomes more obvious given the extended nature of this PIP footage compared to others I've posted. Couple of hundreds of a second makes a difference with overlaying tracks. The optimum solution to this is using a second HD camera at the target, same model, which is a short-term objective.
