PRAGUE - STARE MESTO AND JOSEFOV (II)

Josefov is a town quarter and smallest cadastral area of Prague, today Czech Republic, formerly the Jewish ghetto of the town. Most of the quarter was demolished between 1893 and 1913 as part of an initiative to model the city on Paris. What was left were only six synagogues, the old cemetery, and the Old Jewish Town Hall

Prague (is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltava river in central Bohemia, it is home to approximately 1.2 million people. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
